My corporate wellness workshop is entitled INNER ERGONOMICS: Increasing Energy and Vitality at Work. This comprehensive approach to wellness and productivity in the work environment can be customized to a short 1.5-hour format, or as long as a half day/4 hour program…or anything in between. I craft the curriculum to match the needs of your particular corporate culture.

INNER ERGONOMICS
Increasing Energy and Vitality at Work

This workshop addresses and reverses the damaging effects of unaddressed stressors in the work environment. Too often, pressures and on-the-job demands build. Over time our strategies for coping give way, leaving us drained and less able to access creativity, focus and motivation. Managing stress before it becomes debilitating allows us to recover and enhance vitality in the workplace.

Goals:

  • Discover what drains energy on the job and learn ways to stay cool under pressure;
  • Identify internal and external strategies and behaviors currently used to adapt to stresses;
  • Learn and practice simple and accessible stress-reducing techniques;
  • Explore ways to de-stress off the job to foster a clear mind and sense of vitality.

Results:

  • Energy-zapping patterns are discovered, interrupted and transformed;
  • Skills are developed that renew energy;
  • Easy and effective strategies are established which improve focus and enhance personal efficiency on the job;
  • Employees discover and experience a new-found ability to manage stress and enhance their effectiveness in the workplace.

MAKING LIGHT OF IT:  
Dealing With the Stress of Weight Control

No matter what your weight is, controlling that weight — maintaining it or losing some — is not easy. Physical and emotional tensions add to that strain. Getting rid of that stress can ease the way to achieving and staying at your desired weight. “Making Light of It” is not a weight loss program. It is intended to complement whatever method of weight control you use.

Goals:

  • Explore the connection between weight and stress through discussion, demonstration and guided exercises;
  • Discover the aspects of excess weight that serve us;
  • Learn answers to the following questions:
    1. Why is it so hard to lose weight?
    2. What can I do to feel less anxious while I am dieting?
    3. What can I do when I get an intense craving for food?
    4. How can I keep off the weight I am working to lose?
    5. How can I maintain my energy while losing weight?

Results:

  • Participants examine new ways of thinking about weight and behavior patterns around food;
  • Understanding the functions and uses of excess weight helps end the torment of dieting and the vicious cycle of losing and regaining weight;
  • Learn specific techniques that support mindful food choices;
  • Explore alternatives to mindless food consumption;
  • Self-esteem is enhanced as participants learn empowering strategies and break dysfunctional habits;
  • Each participant receives a private consultation to focus on individual needs.
STRESS-LESS:
Learning the Art of Self-care

Stress can diminish the joy and vitality of living, resulting in physical tension, health concerns and restrictions at every level. True freedom to breathe deeply and express our passions should be an integral part of all our lives. Through discussion, demonstration, and engaging exercises, “Stress-Less” will teach you how to take charge of how you feel and experience confidence in your ability to transform stress into vitality.

Goals:

  • Learn how tension functions in the body;
  • Practice easy, fun and effective ways to reduce muscular tension;
  • Discover ways to increase energy and release physical and mental restrictions;
  • Understand how to prevent physical injuries caused by tension and stress.

Results:

  • Participants regain a sense of freedom and feel more alertness and vitality throughout the day, both at work and during leisure time;
  • Tension-releasing exercises minimize the effects of tension and can be done anywhere;
  • Participants learn how to take better care of their bodies, minds and spirits;
  • A renewed sense of well-being becomes attainable.
